Which colours should I compare?
車体色
The yellow belt separates the purple crown from the white body. A similar Yamagata colour scheme also appeared on E3; photograph the whole cab before choosing a series.

Common parts as a maintenance strategy
Hitachi identifies E6-based configuration and shared parts as measures to improve reliability and reduce maintenance cost. Its E8 main converter also follows the traction-system approach of E5–E7; this does not establish identical individual motor ratings.

In a typical row, A and D are beside the windows, B and C beside the aisle. In Green car 11, row 7 has only seats A and D; in car 12, rows 1–3 and 11 have fewer seats. Use the operator’s diagram for those rows.
