The four trailers introduced a different braking task: they have no traction motors for rheostatic braking. Eddy-current disc brakes, two per axle, supplied their electrical braking contribution using current from the powered cars.
At the end of preserved car 123-1, compare the tables on the partition wall. The pair has one shared table; the three-seat side has a separate table for each passenger.
